Incontinence - Pregnancy and Postpartum Pain
Time & Location
About The Event
Incontinence is the leaking of urine or feces. This is common during and after pregnancy, but it’s not normal. This can occur when coughing, sneezing, lifting, or jumping, but can happen with other activities. This can occur because of dysfunction of the pelvic floor and can lead to other issues.
This workshop is part of a monthly series on specific problems during and after pregnancy. We will begin with discussing the anatomy of the core/pelvic floor and the changes in body structure and function during and after pregnancy. We will then discuss why this can occur and learn about the specific issue. We will discuss how to prevent/treat this issue and complete simple exercises.
