About The Event

Sciatica is shooting, burning, or pins and needles pain down the back of the leg. This is irritation of a nerve that runs the length of the back of the leg.

This pain is common…but it’s not normal. Most women just think that this is just part of the process and brush it off. But, brushing it off is the last thing you should do! Women who have pain during pregnancy are 3 times more likely to have postpartum depression. They are more likely lead a sedentary lifestyle, which can lead to other medical problems and chronic pain. Luckily, there are ways to avoid this downward spiral.

This workshop is part of a monthly series on specific problems during and after pregnancy. We will begin with discussing the anatomy of the core/pelvic floor and the changes in body structure and function during and after pregnancy. We will then discuss why this pain can occur and learn about the specific pain issue. We will discuss how to prevent/treat this issue and complete simple exercises to prevent and manage pain.

$25 per person
